We now offer a complete training program featuring head trainer Andy Kurtz. Known for his kind approach with both people and horses, Andy brings impressive credentials and a wealth of experience to his position. He has worked for and ridden with reknowned clinician Craig Cameron, million dollar cutting horse trainer Bruce Morine, AQHA leading breeder Carol Rose of Carol Rose Quarter Horses, and top reining and cowhorse trainers Chris Dawson and Corey Cushing. In addition, he has operated his own colt starting business in Texas where he specialized in starting colts for some of the top owners and trainers in the cutting horse industry.   While reined cowhorses are his first love, Andy has the experience and technical knowledge to train everything from trail horses to ropers to finished show horses. He uses the natural horsemanship techniques popular today as well as his own intuitive knowlege of horse behavior to produce horses that are comfortable and responsive. During the Winter months of November through April, Andy will be training out of the indoor arena and barn at Wandering Creek Ranch on River Rd. in Steamboat.
